PBN President Jud Neal Appointed as VP of 2012 HBMA Board
Jud Neal was recently appointed Vice President of the HBMA Executive Board. Jud will serve a one-year term as Vice President, his seventh as a member of the HBMA Board of Directors. Jud will serve as one of thirteen members elected to the board and one of four executive members. The board is elected by HBMA members, who are collectively responsible for nearly 30% of all physician services billing in the U.S.
"Through its resources, events, and programs as well as its advocacy work in Washington, the HBMA provides its members unique information and insight into the ever-changing legislation and regulatory issues related to physician reimbursement," said Neal. "It’s my privilege to serve on the Board and continue PBN’s long association with the HBMA."
In past years, Jud has also served on the HBMA Executive Committee as Treasurer, as Vice Chairman of both the Education and Certification Committees, and continues to play an active role on the Government Relations Committee.
Jud commented, "PBN's association with the HBMA and the types of information and understanding we gain from it is a key component of our success. Through our involvement with HBMA, PBN is an active player in Washington. We hear about things early on that have a significant impact on our own future, on the future of the billing industry and on our clients and their businesses."
Jud’s involvement with the HBMA also continues to provide PBN and its clients a more direct and personal voice in Washington. PBN’s commitment to education and involvement in legislative affairs helps direct and guide its internal staff and clientele in use of the latest best practices in medical billing.
